Kinesiotherapy / Occupational Therapy

Kinesiotherapy is treatment through movement. Depending on the type of muscular work performed, kinesiotherapy is divided into active (general training, gymnastics, applied exercises) and passive (massage, stretching, vibration) types. This includes:

  • breathing exercises
  • active exercises for rehabilitation after various illnesses
  • group and individual kinesiotherapy sessions to strengthen the body
  • passive exercises for rehabilitating seriously ill patients
  • spinal stretching and exercise in the gym
  • positional therapy

Individual exercise – applied by creating an individual program, taking into account needs and disorders, using various activities, tools and stretching exercises.

Occupational Therapy

Occupational therapy is the restoration, maintenance, or compensation of a patient’s abilities through purposeful activity, aiming to help patients live independently, taking into account their wishes, needs, and the requirements set by society. The goal of occupational therapy is to help a person engage in purposeful activity so that the activity performed is restored, strengthened, and improved, making it easier to learn skills and activities important for the patient’s adaptation and productivity, in order to reduce pathology and improve health.

Individual occupational therapy helps patients treat and improve fine motor skills of the upper limbs, thereby restoring the affected areas of the central nervous system.

Kinesiotherapy Assessment

The assessment is carried out without knowing the cause of the pain or movement disorder, in order to save time when it is unclear which specialist to consult. It is possible to identify the cause of back or joint pain or stiffness and immediately propose rehabilitative treatment along with information on which specialist to consult for further advice.

Special kinesiotherapy tests are performed. These depend on the segment and symptoms (e.g. assessing whether there is damage to the shoulder joint capsule or muscle).
